Sisterly Lust suspended on itch.io
Some of you might have already noticed, but Sisterly Lust has been suspended by itch.io. This has to do with the whole adult content battle with the payment processors that has been raging on Steam and here on itch.io.
As I haven't been selling any games here since 2023, I thought my games would be fine. I'm not aware of violating itch.io's Terms of Service and since I'm not an active seller, my content doesn't have to adhere to the payment processor's additional ToS.
Consider me very unpleasantly surprised when itch.io mailed me a takedown notice last Friday about the suspension of Sisterly Lust. The mail basically contained the paragraphs listed here and mentioned Sisterly Lust was in violation of them. I believe Sisterly Lust adheres to itch.io's own ToS regarding adult content as there are no real life humans, AI, glorified sexual violence and minors in the game.
The other terms only apply to games on sale. I quote:
If you plan to collect money for your content, then you must adhere to the acceptable use policy of all respective payment processors that your account utilizesI'm not collecting money so those terms do not apply.
I've appealed the takedown notice stating the points above, but considering itch.io's small team and lackluster communication in the past I'm not getting my hopes up. The game is still available elsewhere, but not here for the time being or maybe forever.

Can't buy or see any AVN on steam since I live in Germany (Good for healthcare and in case you lost your job or ability to work, bad for any AVN or other adult content.)
Now I see this shit here on itch,one of the few (legal)sources of AVN for me and think to myself : SOME PPL SHOULD JUST NOT EXIST - AT ALL
There is more to say but I don't want to risk my account , just in case itch is not doomed already.
Well, I for one hope there have been no changes made to the Steam version of SL. I love it as is and I recently saw there was an update that I had to install in order to go back into it. The product was perfect the way it was and I see no reason why you as a developer should have to change ANYTHING on your work.
If a change was made, maybe you can "unfix" it as there was a very recent "update" to it on Steam.
Anyway, keep up your fine work and let us know when you plan on doing another project, hopefully along the lines of SL. Thanks!

Nah, fuck payment processors. They're providing an, at this point, critical service and are proving they shouldn't have that power.
Itch is an *insanely* small company in comparison who'd just be swept aside if they didn't comply.

One Dev did that for their game on Steam, ensuring i will never buy from them ever again.

You can expect tftuv to get sacked before long. The reason is for incest. That's the biggest thing they are looking for. Rape also. The payment processors are causing the censorship. All because of those conservative fucks in Australia

Agreed. No one should be censoring fictional works. I could see having a level of security for age verification, but content should be available to whomever wants to see it.

Kinda ironic that the same thing haunting you in the story of SL happens to get the game suspended
Worst case, could just change what the relationships are called.
i.e. Give a prompt that lets the player type in whatever they want (with the default being "landlady", "tenant", and "roommate"). Or just throw "step" at the front of everything.

Sisterly Lust has been suspended, probably because of its incestuous content. Steam and itch.io policies have become much stricter regarding incest, unfortunately. I am really sorry for what happened to you; two of my games have also been banned from my account. This is an unfair disgrace.
