How do I transfer season 2 saves from the 0.15.1 version into this entirely new app for the 0.15.2 version? Just copying into the new folder doesn't work

transferring the save to the fresh download of season 1 version 12.5 "worked" but of course I can't load it and still the new season 2 can't find it.
Is there a way to just hardforce disable this previous season save check so I can just fucking load my save?

Im very confused with this new android update.
I had season 2 working fine in the previous versions, and thusly Uninstalled season 1 to save space. This wasnt an issue since I already had saves in season 2 before deleting it.
Now however, it is acting like I cant open the new season 2 (which is a new app?). I found my save in the original Android directory and copied it to the renpy_saves in both the main folder (for this game).
After this did not work, I went ahead and created a new save (on the working season 2 app) and copied all 3 files that were generated 7-4-LT1.save and the _reload and the "persistent".
I notice the names of the saves all have LT1 after them, not sure if this is significant. The app is definitely season 2 and shows 0.15.1 on the main screen.
Also of note,the old app seems to be saving to com.perveteer.tftuv, but since installing the new app a new folder with a "2" added to the end. Not sure why this is made since the saves are supposed to be in documents now. I went ahead and copied the entire old folder into this one just to see but it didn't work
To be clear, you have an end-of-season save in the com.perveteer.tftuv directory ("Season_1" or "Season 1" followed by a string of alphanumeric characters) and copied it to the season 2 directory (com.perveteer.tftuv2)?
That end of season save is vital, because it gets imported into Season 2 when you first start playing. It's needed because it carries over all the choices you've made in the previous season. The need to have separate apps is partly to work around the 2GB file limit for applications on Android.
Is there a directory called RenPy_Saves in the Documents folder on your device (assuming you're also playing on Android)? If so, does it contain a folder called com.perverteer.tftuv containing at least one save file with the name Season_1 followed by a string of alphanumeric characters? The game creates this one automatically near the end of the first season.
I had figured that any season 1 choices would be attached to my season 2 saves (such that directly transferring amy season 2 saves SHOULD inherenetly transfer the season 1 choices with them).
In reality the season 2 game has a series of save files, and what is essentially a season 1 STATE archive. Meaning when the game is running, every season 2 save simply looks at the season 1 state file to know what decisions you made. This certainly is smart from a optimization standpoint as otherwise you would need to append the season 1 state data to every single save, which would increase the file size for every save (taking up more storage space on your device).
The biggest confusion with this was that I was looking for a season 1 save file, but I shouldnt have any of those as i had deleted my season 1 data when getting the previous 0.15.1 to work. I did not know that this "save" (I prefer calling it "state") file was not neccesarily a save so much as it is a component needed for any other saves to function

Looking back on your pinned help post for this update, its clear what you meant now. I think it would help though if you dont word it as transferring a season 1 save though. Perhaps adding a section for users transfering active season 2 saves (i didnt look far enough into the file you mention as it appears to be how to transfer season 1 files, but I wanted to transfer over season 2 files). You could say, "within your season 2 saves folder, there will be a file containing the state data from season 1. You must also copy this file along with your save". I think a big part of my struggle was thinking thr guide was written to help transfer your season 1 save over to season 2 which made no sense for me as I was not transfering from season 1 to season 2 but from season 2 to season 2

Ah right, I get where you're coming from now. This is actually an issue that will be fixed in an upcoming version. The check at the beginning of the game is currently too strict, as it doesn't account for players who already have saves made in Season 2 stored on their device. The game's engine actually needs the Season 1 save only to import your progress, as soon as you make a new save based on that older data, it will store everything in the new saved game. So while the "saved state" concept makes sense, it isn't actually what's happening under the hood. v0.16 will have less stricter checks to allow people to play Season 2 with just their Season 2 saves.
As for the grouchiness regarding working with files in Android, I can wholeheartedly relate. ;) Fixing this issue was a very painful mental experience, to say the least.

I'm planning on playing again for different choices. The problem I'm having, is that I haven't been able to find the folder where the old saves are, and I got 90 pages worth that I need to delete.
That's a lot of clicking time, especially since you have to confirm each individual X you choose in order to do it manually.
**And yes, this does mean I'm hooked and addicted to the TFTUV train. There's just so many choice possibilities, that you can't experience from only a single play-through.
There's no easy way to do this in the app itself. Save management in Ren'Py isn't very good out-of-the-box, I'm afraid. You can delete the files manually though. The directories can be found here:
Android has recently received a bugfix release so it's at a different version number. itch.io also assigns an internal version number (version 14 for PC and 19 for Android), but that can be ignored.
Each season should be extracted into its own folder, mixing files isn't recommended.

it could be because I’m using joiplay on android, but 15.1 will not load. The last version I played, 13.1, loads fine, however attempting to play 15.1 crashes upon startup and leaves the following in the logs

Have you tried the very latest version already? The new version should also ask for write permissions when installing and they should be granted, otherwise the game will not be able to write saves to the new game directory.

This should be fixed in an upcoming bugfix release. In the meantime, you can safely click ignore when encountering these particular errors, they're only used to track achievements.
It says that the tax act has changed and it is impossible to pay. I downloaded the paid one in steam and where are the pregnant women? it should have been the most interesting thing when a guy runs after women and then they become pregnant from them, runs from them. This should be the most interesting episode. Now there is a pregnancy function, but there is no pregnancy.

How do I play season 2 ? I already finished the first season and made a save at the end but every time I open season 2 it says I have to go play season 1 .
Transferring saves between Season 1 and 2 is currently broken, unless you can access the system directory of your device and copy the saves manually. I'm working on a proper fix.

I just realised I made it 12 episodes but I haven't unlocked ANY scenes with Lily. Any idea what I might have done wrong? I'm not sure. I tried running it back but still no luck.
Had to plug phone into PC to view the files first of all.
Basically within the folder "Android/data/com.perverteer.tftuv" is a folder called "files". You need to copy that over to the new "Android/data/com.perverteer.tftuv" once the new update is installed.
It didn't work from my phone file manager as i clicked Android/data it shows access denied. So used Google files and accessed the data and follow the steps as @psichoteam has shown. Hope this will help

Hell, I'm coming back after waiting a bit for updates, and even I'm confused and having to constantly* check things to make sure I got the right one. Especially when I'm trying to control my brain about: "Season Two might be just a version update patch." "But if that's the case, then wouldn't that mean someone could just get the updated one without paying because
I'd like to report a consistent bug I found in all playthroughs where I deleted the simulation and kissed Eva in the game sim.
It would seem that even if I have ONLY pursued Eva, the game still thinks I have many other romantic interests, and I still have the choice to either “confess everything” or “stay silent”.
If I choose to confess, the lines are as follows:
Eva: “who are you involved with (mc name)”
MC: “.”
Eva: “So are you… in a relationship with them?”
(skipping a few lines)
Eva: “but you just said you were in love with all those women”
(skipping a few lines)
Eva: “you’re asking me to accept the fact that you have all those women on the side?”
Then the conversation continues as if you are pursuing many other women.
I should add this also happened when I was only pursuing Lily and Eva. the usual lines played for when Lily is one of the girls, then it again continues as if I was pursuing many other women. Then Eva asks: “Does she know about the others?” even though there were no others.

This game is just too good just finished S1 and ep 12 was basically amazing, nothing else to say about it really loved the story and characters and surprisingly the soundtrack. Can't wait to play s2. definitely one of my favorite games
Just finished season 1 and it was so gooooood really loved the last episode I missed maybe 60/70 % of the H scenes the story was just too good I didn't really care about most of the sex. What bug is with S2? Can we not play?
Hi! First of all, thanks a lot for this great game!
I just want to report a bug I have with version v0.14 (on Linux). It happens in Episode 14 when both Vess and Jade are submissive. Once Vess is released from prison, Jade is in my room asking for clarification. But after talking to her the scenario does not update and the game is stuck with Jade still being in my room, replaying the same scene again and again. I tried with two other paths, 1) Vess and Jade not being submissive and 2) Vess being submissive but not Jade and in both cases the scenario went through.
Great game so far! I was quickly hooked by the story, the graphics and animations are solid, and I especially love the music! I'm only on Episode 2, but so far, so good! I'll be sure to leave a review once I've finished Season One.
This is truly one of my favourite AVNs. can I ask if there's a guide for season 2 being updated as the episodes come out? Can't seem to find a guide for season 2 :)

Theres no option to save at the end of season 1 for me and season 2 wont start either because theres "No save available"

It says that the tax act has changed and it is impossible to pay. I downloaded the paid one in steam and where are the pregnant women? it should have been the most interesting thing when a guy runs after women and then they become pregnant from them, runs from them. This should be the most interesting episode. Now there is a pregnancy function, but there is no pregnancy.

Transferring saves between Season 1 and 2 is currently broken, unless you can access the system directory of your device and copy the saves manually. I'm working on a proper fix.

I just realised I made it 12 episodes but I haven't unlocked ANY scenes with Lily. Any idea what I might have done wrong? I'm not sure. I tried running it back but still no luck.
You just have to avoid upsetting or rushing her, and in the lab you have to suggest that you were in love.
What about the Eva Scene on the beach in Episode 12?
I dont know if it was alredy solved, but I managed to solve the migration issue like this:
- renamed Android/data/com.perverteer.tftuv to com.perverteer.tftuv.bak
- uninstalled the previous version of the game
- installed the new version
- renamed the folder back to its original name
And it works properly now.

Had to plug phone into PC to view the files first of all.
Basically within the folder "Android/data/com.perverteer.tftuv" is a folder called "files". You need to copy that over to the new "Android/data/com.perverteer.tftuv" once the new update is installed.

It didn't work from my phone file manager as i clicked Android/data it shows access denied. So used Google files and accessed the data and follow the steps as @psichoteam has shown. Hope this will help

I'd like to report a consistent bug I found in all playthroughs where I deleted the simulation and kissed Eva in the game sim.
It would seem that even if I have ONLY pursued Eva, the game still thinks I have many other romantic interests, and I still have the choice to either “confess everything” or “stay silent”.
If I choose to confess, the lines are as follows:
Eva: “who are you involved with (mc name)”
MC: “.”
Eva: “So are you… in a relationship with them?”
(skipping a few lines)
Eva: “but you just said you were in love with all those women”
(skipping a few lines)
Eva: “you’re asking me to accept the fact that you have all those women on the side?”
Then the conversation continues as if you are pursuing many other women.
I should add this also happened when I was only pursuing Lily and Eva. the usual lines played for when Lily is one of the girls, then it again continues as if I was pursuing many other women. Then Eva asks: “Does she know about the others?” even though there were no others.
I Hope that this is useful. This is one of the best AVN's right now, keep up the great work.

This game is just too good just finished S1 and ep 12 was basically amazing, nothing else to say about it really loved the story and characters and surprisingly the soundtrack. Can't wait to play s2. definitely one of my favorite games

Hi! First of all, thanks a lot for this great game!
I just want to report a bug I have with version v0.14 (on Linux). It happens in Episode 14 when both Vess and Jade are submissive. Once Vess is released from prison, Jade is in my room asking for clarification. But after talking to her the scenario does not update and the game is stuck with Jade still being in my room, replaying the same scene again and again. I tried with two other paths, 1) Vess and Jade not being submissive and 2) Vess being submissive but not Jade and in both cases the scenario went through.
